Sparks’ exciting whitewater attraction, Rock Park, is the spot for family fun with pools for kayaking, tubing and rafting for all abilities in a wonderful setting.
Witness the Great Reno Balloon Race
The Great Reno Balloon Race is the largest free hot-air balloon race in the world. Taking place in early September, the skies in Sparks and the surrounding area will be filled with a rainbow of hot air balloons. Going back 35 years, the Great Balloon Race typically hosts approximately 100 balloons every year. Known as the “Best Special Event in Northern Nevada,” this race averages nearly 120,000 spectators each year.
