We Proudly Serve Our Neighbors in Sparks

Our office is located in Reno, less than 4 miles from beautiful Sparks, a family-oriented city of more than 92,000 residents.  The City was recognized as the fastest growing city in Nevada from 1999 – 2008.  The quality of life is cited as one of the main reasons people relocate to the Sparks area.  It continues to grow as it neighbors the newly constructed Tesla Motors Gigafactory built in June, 2014.  Tesla Motors is set to play a major role in the world’s transition to sustainable transportation by producing electric vehicles.  Sparks is also close to the University of Nevada, Reno, a Tier One university, as recognized by U.S. News and World Report for its quality students, faculty, research activity, and degree programs.

Small Business Development in Sparks

Sparks is clearly a “business friendly” community, with its Community Services and Planning Department and the Sparks Redevelopment Agency, which both work closely with business owners to pursue responsible economic activities.  The Sparks industrial area provides exceptional commercial and cargo air, surface and rail transportation through the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, I-80 and U.S. 395 and Union Pacific railway.  With these numerous transportation opportunities, businesses have the unique ability to open or expand their operations in western Nevada.

Starting a business is a huge achievement for most entrepreneurs, however maintaining that business can be an even bigger challenge. Whether your business is big or small, those challenges can include hiring the right people, building a successful brand and even choosing the right business entity. However, there are some issues that may be unique to small businesses.  For small business owners, Sparks could be a great place to put up your shingle.  In 2009, Sparks was recognized by BusinessWeek as the Number 1 city in Nevada to start a new business.

Special events in Northern Nevada

Sparks is also known as the premiere special events venue for northern Nevada.  Exciting attractions include Victorian Square, with its interactive fountain and 14 screen theater.  Victorian Square also brings popular annual events such as the Sparks Hometowne Farmer’s Market, Hot August Nights, Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off, and Sparks Hometowne Christmas.  If you want to become more familiar with the City’s rich history, a visit to the Sparks Heritage Museum is a must.

If getting outside and enjoying nature is for you, then Sparks is the place to be, touting more than 50 beautiful parks and countless recreation programs. The City’s landmark gem includes the unique Sparks Marina, which offers fishing, boating, volleyball, swimming, fishing, scuba diving and picnicking facilities, with breath-taking views of the nearby mountains.  Sparks’ exciting whitewater attraction, Rock Park, is the spot for family fun with pools for kayaking, tubing and rafting for all abilities in a wonderful setting.

Witness the Great Reno Balloon Race

The Great Reno Balloon Race is the largest free hot-air balloon race in the world. Taking place in early September, the skies in Sparks and the surrounding area will be filled with a rainbow of hot air balloons. Going back 35 years, the Great Balloon Race typically hosts approximately 100 balloons every year. Known as the “Best Special Event in Northern Nevada,” this race averages nearly 120,000 spectators each year.
